I would like to welcome to all Special Education Principals’ and Leaders’ Association (SEPLA) members, associate members and prospective SEPLA members to the 2015 school year.
As most of you would be aware Matthew Johnson took on a role with the Queensland Education Department starting in November 2014. I would like to wish Matt all the best in this big adventure and thank him for his tireless work supporting his colleagues and students with additional needs throughout NSW, particularly through his work on the SEPLA executive and as president of SEPLA. At the last SEPLA executive meeting I agreed to step into the role of president in his absence, Diane Robertson has agreed to step into the role of ASEPA representative and Anne Flint will be our secondary representative on ASEPA.
I encourage all colleagues to apply for/renew their membership in 2015 by completing the membership application which can be downloaded by clicking here. This promises to be a busy, exciting and challenging year and one which SEPLA looks to provide continued support and guidance to all its members, with a renewed focus on trying to provide more support to our regional members through an update in our online presence.
